New Birth COGIC
On January 01, 1999, God gave Elder Julius C. Ragin the vision to begin his ministry in Sumter, SC. On September 25, 1999 the vision began to unfold.

On May 01, 2000, Elder Julius C. Ragin purchased the Old Grace Cathedral Church of God In Christ from Elder Sammy C. Smith, from that purchase, The New Birth Church of God in Christ was birthed on June 4, 2000. The membership started with eleven and has grown to 100 plus members and covenant partners.

New Birth COGIC is a non-profit organization in Sumter, SC. Our Mission is to reach souls to the uttermost parts of the globe that they may be saved, delivered and set free!!

New Birth is a body of believers that trust God for who He is. God has demonstrated his marvelous and mighty works both individually and collectively in the ministry throughout the years. Which is evident by the testimonies of healing, prosperity and spiritual growth.

Our Belief
Our Belief concerning The Bible and God
   We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible Word of God. We believe that there is One God, eternally existing in Three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Our Belief concerning The Church
  We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God , which is in Christ, at His return.

Our Belief concerning Sin
  We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is though repentance; Faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ and being baptized in water. We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

Our Belief concerning Christ
  We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross healing for the human body in answer to believing in prayer.

Our Belief concerning The Holy Ghost
  We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for it.

Our Belief concerning Sanctification 
  We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whom in dwelling , the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world.

To stimulating one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking the fellowship with one another and fulfilling what God has ordained for our Ministry.
